Daniela Puttenat (MA) took studies in English, French and Spanish Literature at the University of Kiel (Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel). After completing a traineeship in the press office of Lufthansa Technik AG followed by a period of practical PR agency training, Daniela worked as an Account Manager at Weber Shandwick and fischerAppelt Kommunikation, advising companies such as McDonalds Deutschland, Unilever, Hapag-Lloyd and Tchibo.
In 2005, she moved into the energy industry: as Head of Press and Public Relations at wind turbine manufacturing company REpower Systems AG, Daniela Puttenat was responsible for global PR and marketing, reported to the CEO and managed the communication of the then listed TecDAX company during an acquisition phase lasting several years. She expanded PR activities for REpower at the Portland and Denver sites in the USA in 2009. She also represented the company in its political association work in Berlin, Brussels and Washington. In 2011, Daniela Puttenat moved to RWE Dea AG in Hamburg.
From 2010 to 2011, parallel to her job, she completed a life coach training course at the renowned Dr. Bock Coaching Akademie in Berlin, which she finished with an exam.
Daniela Puttenat is the author of two successful specialist books on PR (Praxishandbuch Presse- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit [A Practical Handbook on Press and Public Relations] and Praxishandbuch Krisenkommunikation [A Practical Handbook on Crisis Communication], both published by Springer Gabler).
